Hobe Sound Real Estate

Hobe Sound homes for sale

Hobe Sound Real Estate and the history dates back to 1696 when a British ship en route to Philadelphia sank near the Jupiter Inlet. The Quaker passengers were helped and cared for by the Tekestas and Jove Indians. According to the Florida WPA Guide, Hobe Sound received its name in 1699. Once Henry Flagler established the railroad system through Palm Beach County, Hobe Sound really came into its own. Throughout its changes, however, the town remains environmentally-conscious and preserves vast amounts of natural, green space. Perhaps this can be attributed to its heritage with the Native Americans.

Hobe Sound is attractive to both families and retirees because of its small-town feel, excellent school system, expansive wildlife, beautiful waterways, and artistic venues.
