Lake Worth Real Estate

Lake Worth is a charming coastal city situated south of West Palm Beach and north of Lantana. Founded by former slaves Samuel and Fannie James, the land was originally called Jewel. The James sold the land in 1911 and Lake Worth was officially incorporated in 1912.

Soon thereafter, Lake Worth began creating its identity as a multi-cultural town with a strong artistic presence. The downtown area is an eclectic mix of music, art, theater, and restaurants – all boasting an old-Florida style. The environmentally-sensitive city does not permit the construction of high-rise buildings, which adds to its small town charm. Lake Worth is also well-known for its acceptance of all religions and lifestyle choices.

Area attractions include the Lake Worth Playhouse, the Lake Worth Municipal Golf Course, and the Museum of the City of Lake Worth.
